Auditions: Sunday 11th May 2024, upstairs in the Company Room, at The Rose Centre.
This production will be on stage at Belmont's Rose Centre from August 16th to 31st. NZ Playwright Gary Henderson's "Home Land" is Ken Taylor's story. Ken's dedicated his whole working life to his hill-country farm, but it's now wintertime and he's an 80 year old widower, virtually crippled, and totally reliant on his son and daughter-in-law for running the farm and tending to his needs.
Ken's daughter, son-in-law and grand-daughter have arrived from Auckland for this: His last weekend on the farm that's been his whole world.
Characters:
Ken Taylor - a farmer, almost crippled and dependent (aged 80)

Auditions will be held in the Rose Centre's upstairs rehearsal room - accessible from the back of the building - and rehearsals will begin in June.
Sian most recently directed for Company Theatre with last August's "Death of a Salesman" and 2021's "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" - with her acting in or more recently directing numerous successful plays over the years.
